Indigenous Engagement Program

Indigenous Engagement & Partnerships

Ridgeline believes in the importance of supporting and engaging indigenous communities throughout North America. In doing so, Ridgeline is developing a pool of talented Indigenous individuals that can partake in employment opportunities in the environmental services sector.

The focus of Ridgeline’s training is to provide technical and hands-on skills for those interested to start a career path in the environmental services sector.

Our Program

At Ridgeline, we believe in empowering Indigenous peoples through mutual partnerships, capacity development, and hands-on training.

Our mission is to provide students in Indigenous communities with an alternative form of learning that focuses on hands-on training intertwined with traditional learning. In doing so, we hope to allow students with little or no experience in the environmental sector to gain skills while offering a path to earn credits towards a college diploma.

post-secondary partners

Ridgeline has partnered with post-secondary institutions such as Northern Lights College and Lakeland College so that participants in the program can gain college credit towards a diploma in environmental sciences.

By partnering with the colleges we can ensure that the training program is recognized by the industry nationwide and that it can be utilized by the students to build a lifelong career in the environmental industry.
