Alberta site rehabilitation program

On April 17th, 2020, the Prime Minister announced over 1.7 Billion dollars in available funding to support inactive and orphan site closure within the oil and gas industry, as part of the COVID-19 Economic Response Plan. On April 24, 2020, Alberta’s provincial government announced the implementation of the Site Rehabilitation Program.

Alberta’s Site Rehabilitation Program goals are to:

  1. Immediately get Alberta’s specialized oil and gas labor force back to work;

  2. Accelerate site abandonment and reclamation efforts; and

  3. Quickly complete a high volume of environmentally-significant work.

 

Ridgeline wants to continue to work with Producers to ensure that the goals of the Site Rehabilitation Program are met. Ridgeline’s commitment to Alberta, Producers, and the Environment, is stronger than ever and we are ready to support the industry the best way possible. Ridgeline Environment, a division of Ridgeline has assembled our Senior Team of environmental specialists to develop a seamless process to facilitate file review and the funding application to support your requests and respond to the Alberta Government call for funding under the Site Rehabilitation Program.

 

We are pleased to support our existing clients with environmental services such as Phase I ESA, Phase II ESA, Reclamation, Remediation, Detailed Site Assessments, Reclamation Certificate Application, and any related funding applications starting May 1st, 2020. If you are a Producer and have not had a chance to collaborate with Ridgeline Environment’s Team in the past, please know that we welcome your requests and list of priority sites for evaluation and application for funding. Brad Shybunka is a Professional Agrologist with over 20 years of experience in the Energy and Environmental Services sector. Brad is one of the founding members of Ridgeline and has worked in the capacity of Senior Project Manager, Chief Operating Officer, and President of the Environment Division. Brad is directly involved in growing Ridgeline by providing extensive management, budgeting, business development and accounting experience to help complement a strong management team within Ridgeline Canada Inc.
